Undiscovered

I looked into my empty hands, into my empty life. 

I couldn't fill the emptiness, no matter how I tried. 

[ I thought that this was everything.

That this was all there was

and all there ever would be. 

And it began to break my heart,

and it began to weigh me down,

But there's so much more for me.]

I looked into my empty heart, into this empty shell.

All I saw was nothingness, a dark and empty well. 

[ I thought that this was everything.

That this was all there was

And all I ever would be. 

And it began to break my spirit,

and it began to push me down,

but there's so much more of me.]

So much more than eyes can see,

so much further down the road,

so much still inside of me,

I have yet to know.
