Red Queen
Off with her head !
Just one of those symbolic quotes that echo vividly from my past experiences. There is alot that speaks to me from that story of Alice's Wonderland. The Red Queen, a figure of tyrannical measures; the face of many I have called friend in the past.
Always... The Red Queen, Your way. Your Majesty! Alice
It is quite convenient to forget ones faults and focus mainly on the others. To forget all of the things you have burdened the other person with, to only see the work you've sewn into the relationship so when it's all over you can only say, What have you done for me? When in all honesty, you're quite a stone cold biotch to put up with, aren't you? You're a handful of cat scratches and bee stings sometimes. Those days taken like an immunization by your loyal companions, hoping to be immune to your poisonous spew, though not always because we are just flesh and blood as well. But you don't see that, you see that this person has just royally made you upset by doing something SO human, it's just SO uncalled for to be human in a relationship and it's just not worth it anymore to put up with your crap. Without a thought to all the medicinal purpose you're washing off while you wash your hands of the friendship.
The Red Queen and her sea of heads... [btw, love that scene in the movie] ... even her beloved King. After a while you have to wonder if you're the one cutting them off.
But in the end...I slayed the Jabberwocky. So, I win.
